Workplace Wellness Program Pay
Statistics show that for there is a ROI from wellness programs. Companies such as Canada Life, DuPont, Prudential Insurance and Citibank report a savings of $2 to $6.85 for each $1 invested in Corporate Wellness Programs according to Benefits Canada (March, 2013)!
The Go365Wellness Corporate Wellness Program offers selected videos, done by professionals in each respective field, information and quizzes that can meet the needs of your employees. Resources include topics most commonly discussed with Human Resources Managers in larger organizations. Most small to medium sized companies do not have the resources to offer their employees coaching, or extensive self-development workshops, or in many cases do not have a dedicated HR administrator who has time to deal with Workplace Wellness issues as they arise. Sometimes, even when resources are available, employees may be hesitant to discuss work issues, or personal issues that are spilling over and impacting their productivity.
In 2011, Sun Life Financial and the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario studied ROI on Wellness Programs. Early findings showed “between 1.5 to 1.7 days/employee/year of absenteeism were saved with wellness programs, which translated into an estimated savings of $251/employee/year. (In 2011, Statistics Canada stated that absenteeism rates ranged from 4.7 days to 11.2 days/employee/year.)
What, and What Not, is the Program?
The Go365Wellness Corporate Wellness Program is an educational resource. Education and awareness is the first step in achieving Wellness in the Workplace. The Go365Wellness Corporate Wellness Program does not replace therapy, or provide coaching. It can be a catalyst for employees to identify their personal needs and to seek appropriate help. This is one of the reasons we have integrated a Directory into our site – which will grow over time to proved a good source for professional help, for those who need it or are seeking it.
It provides many tools for growth and development, education and increased awareness across the various aspects of life, such as: work, social and relationships, financial, physical and mental health. All of these aspects effect an employees effectiveness, absenteeism and over all well-being.
More and more Workers Compensation is placing the onus on employers to provide a healthy work environment.
